Hello, this is my version of “Apylon, the Soul-Render” by Blizzard. I felt like this is such a cool sword, I wanted to give it a remake, and ended up making a sword quite different from Blizzards own style. It’s been a while since my last upload! This is my stab at a Gameboy Advance SP. This is my first released model made using a weighted normal workflow. Typically I would make the geometry and bake in any necessary bevels using the bevel node in Blender but this time it’s all actual geometry! This model is game ready, though be warned it is fairly high poly for what it is. 34,500k Tris for the main system and about 2500k tris for each cartridge. The extra attached file contains the blend file I made this in as well as all the necessary textures. The blend file also includes the LCD material I used to bake the screen. At Hi-Rez, we decided to give ol’ Poseidon a make-over. It was time– as he was one of the first Gods of the original release of SMITE. I was very fortunate to get to work on this skin. He was passed around to other artists in the pipeline to make sure he fit to the Old version’s rig. My main job was to retopologize, texture and get his new body mesh into Unreal 3. I was, however, able to clean up the sculpt and finalize it for texture generation. Base-meshed in Max, Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter 2 and Photoshop. Just another weird model, this time mix between ent and imp, that for some time I had in my folder under codename Verto and just waited to get rigged. Idea was to make tad smaller ent that would act like imp in forest but would not be so weak as most of folklore show them, something similar to some of Japanse Oni demons. Model is rigged, it contain two PBR materials. Made in Blender. Ps.
