I created this model based on references from the actual movie props and some amazingly faithful replicas. The geometry is relatively light weight for use in game engines. The counter animation is geometry based, so it can be used dynamically and adressed by code. Complete with 4K PBR textures. My motivation for this piece came from rewatching the Aliens movies. I took this as an opportunity to learn Substance Painter and figure out how to bake maps for a more complex model like this. It’s also always interesting to learn a few things about design in general and about the object you’re researching in specific. When researching references it helped me to find out that parts of this design are based on real life rifles like the “M1A1 Thompson” and the “Spas 12” shotgun. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 7959 polygons.

This is my contribution to the digital car creation. It started as a simple model but adding more and more detail led it to the current state. The demo animation should give you some ideas what’s inside the package but it doesn’t include everything. I wasn’t able to optimize it for sketchfab without loosing too much quality (normally I’d hide parts of the model) so it’ll take a bit to load the textures and unfortunately (also for me) some of you (with slower GPUs) will struggle a bit to see the content - in that case, please pause the animation. It’s a complete model of the 911SC from ‘83. It’s completely unwrapped, with painted textures and rigged. The rig is of course made for this animation but I’ll attach a different one suitable for Unreal Engine. It was further modified and got new paint scheme next year. There is not much info available about it, no articles written about this version, so some details are just guess.
