I created this warmaul for DAE’s Weaponcraft asssignment.
A relic weapon designed for “The Scarlet Crusade”, a fanatical religious sect on a grand quest to rid Azeroth of the Undead Scourge up in former Lordaeron. It never had the possibility to shine its brightest light due all the corruption from within.
The Scarlet Crusade always interested me in the time I played WoW, but never did I invest in their lore as much. Doing a deep dive I discovered about this lad Saidan Dathoran who was their “Grand Crusader” before being corrupted by this dreadlord. The weapon they portrayed Dathoran with looked like a big rock on a stick, so I thought I’d design something a bit more worthy for a “Grand Crusader”.

Hello, are two elementals I made together with Bert Suffys. It was part of a group project called Brimstone. The design, modeling and unwrapping was done by me, and Bert did the texturing. At the end I changed the textures a bit to make it look more fire-ish and ice-ish. I really enjoyed this, because it was a good opportunity for me to learn how to work together with other artists. Both textures are 1024 x 1024. Credits for the background go to Dustin Kane Billings.
