This is my scene for the Howest DAE diorama assignment. Before starting my studies at DAE I went on a summer trip to Norway and found the nature there, and in particular the forests, to be very inspiring. I tried to capture some of that experience in the foliage and landscaping of the garden. My main goal for this scene was to make it feel like a believable whole while still keeping a strong overall composition. I really tried to push myself on this one so any feedback will always be appreciated. I did my best to convey the forest loner’s story of why he lives where he does. He may be an art thief but I didn’t want to commit any actual art theft myself, so the paintings are just some photographs, mostly from Norway. This was a very fun piece to make for Revival, I enjoyed designing and thinking about all the details and symbolism in it while also balancing having a sense of the sterotypical reaper imagery while also being distinctly unique from it. This was made for use in UE4 and as such the textures I have here are not the complete version since I planned to do some things in engine. Russian inspired army truck, merging concepts of the famous ZIL-130 and the never-released ZIL-Э133ВЯТ. Made in Blender, sculpted in ZBrush, UVed in Rizom and textured in Substance Painter. Made the cab and interior using high-low baking workflow on top of weighted normals to allow for baking a sculpted HD mesh with dents and scuffs. The rest of the truck is using weighted normals only. Very good quality interior, making it suitable for 1st person camera. Game ready although the policount may not be the best for a background enviroment prop (unless you’re using Nanite). The .blend file is included with the truck in its neutral possition, the tires undeformed and high resolution .tga textures. So, I decided to use this diorama school project as a way to explore what 3d can offer and how it looks it other completely different styles. I went on a completely different direction from my first project (treasure chest) going from a some what realistic hand painted to the most stylized texture I could do. I decided to do cell shading for this one, although cell shading material doesn’t export to sketchfab I decided to duplicate every object and flip it’s polygons to give a similar ilusion, ence the diorama having the double of the budget tri on sketchfab. This project was inspired by animal crossing and Drawn to Life , hopefully it gives some sense of story within and atmosphere. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 30510 polygons.
