Hello everyone! Here is something that has been in the works, for the longest time, between clients and regular projects, the sequel to my basic sculpted 3D model in Zbrush , posted roughly 5 months ago, which was a sequel to my personal custom combo challenge idea, where I asked people to select a combination from my prompt list, and I would invent for them a concept based on the combination they chose. Of all those ink 2D drawings, i liked this one the most so i decided to take a stab at it. The development was extreemly slow, as I was constantly busy , so sometimes weeks passed, one time 2 months passed without me even touching it, and the rest of the time sometimes I took 2 hours, sometimes only 10 minutes....untill… NOW. :D It is finally done. I had total a blast inventing and making it alive during the entire year. :) Hope you like it! My contribution to the #AngelsAndDemonsChallenge with this Hellboy version of mine. It’s been a long time since I wanted to work on this character from Mignola being a huge fan of his work. At the exact same time i started working on this model, the challenge went live, so it was the occasion to participate. I don’t know if it’s okay since i didn’t create the original character to begin with, but the overall redesign, posing and sculpting is mine, so i’m trying anyway ! I used Zbrush and maya for the sculpt/modeling part and substance painter for the baking. I also wanted too stay light on the details to keep the stylized design intact and not fall into hyperrealism. I’m working on a full textured version wich should be live in a couple of days. This is my entry for the Low Poly Game Challenge for Sketchfab! The hero of the game is a brave Monk, surrounded by his KI energy, which is willing to fight the scary Ryuu Dragon to save his friend, trapped at the top of the castle. In the left side of the screen, there’s a Takoyaki shop where you can recharge your energy. And in the right side, you can find Kappa, a fisherman with whom you can talk to ear prizes. Get ready and fight the dragon to follow the path and get the Daruma item. That’s the only way to get inside the castle, which is floating in the blue sky air above furious sea. It was modeled and assembled with Maya. For this scene, I used a few textures, for the sky, sea and caustic, made with Photoshop. For the last model of the challenge, I have adapted and retouched one of the first scenes I did after studying and I have added an animation to include the topic as a lighting effect. Personally it has been a long and difficult year. Having joined the challenge has helped me handle it better. I hope next year will be better. The summer months were the most difficult to do but I am satisfied with the overall result. Next year I plan to spend the time learning Blender and Unreal 5 so I don’t think I’ll do the Weekly again. The AI is going to change everything, so things will have to be rethought.
