This was a piece i couldn’t get out of my mind the most though. I wanted to explore how an ancient civiliasation would visulaize the journey of a soul from the mortal plane to the after life. Taking themes from Michalangelos ‘Creation of Adam’, the piece represents the connection between Human and God. travelling from one domain to another represented through a staircase running up both beings hands. I struggled with the maelstrom. I tried a lot of different styles. I needed around three days to find a satisfiying solution for me. Altogether I worked one week at that scene. I hope you like it. It was quite a challenge to make this scene in less than a week while working a full-time job. I was experimenting with different finishes when stumbled upon a deep blue plastic material in my library which later became the base for material that made it to the render stage. Hello everyone, I made this model of a cute Unicorn Claw Machine following a design by the artist Julie Perez for the medieval back-and-forth challenge on Artstation. The polycount for the full model and the 4 little wooden horse is 47972. I don’t know how you’d manage to spawn so many little unicorn wooden toys in a game, so the full polycount is way higher on my take. I bet you could just use particles or an equivalent to avoid the extra triangles. I also did that demonstration animation, to show how eveything could work but of course in a game that’d be done with programming not actual bones, haha.
