The lighthouse of the City of Chania on the island of Crete is the most recognizable part of the city and one of the oldest in the world. It is 21m high build on stone base and is located at the entrance of the Ancient harbour’s pier of The Fortress of Firkas.
Build by the Venetians at the end of the 16th century it was reconstructed by the Egyptians in the form of minaret during the Egyptian period around 1830-40.
During the Turkish Occupation, the lighthouse was abandoned.
The current lighthouse tower is mounted on a trapezoidal base which holds since the Venetian Era.
The tower is divided in three parts: an octagonal lower part, the middle part with sixteen sides, and the third part which is circular.
The lighthouse was leaning badly due to bombings during WWII and earthquakes but was renovated in 2005-6.

We were thinking of a MYST-like first person adventure game where the player would explore a library alone to search for clues and solve puzzles. The T-35 was a heavy tank utilized by the Soviet Union during the interwar period and the early stages of the Second World War. It featured multiple turrets and earned the nickname “land battleship”. While it was the only five-turreted heavy tank to enter production, it suffered from slow speed and mechanical unreliability. Interestingly, most of the T-35 tanks that were still operational during Operation Barbarossa were lost due to mechanical issues rather than enemy action. The tank was intended to complement the T-28 medium tank, but only a few were actually built.

This is a fan art diorama I did for studding purposes. I’ve been working on this during my little free time for the past 2-3 months and learnt a lot in the process.
I’ve always loved how Nintendo can make some of the best art out there with so little. Modeling and texturing the characters (Pikmin and Alph) was a really really great study!! The other objects on the scene were also really fun to do and helped me to better understand how PBR materials work!
I modeled and textured the Pikmin based on images on the internet only, but for Alph I had to use the original model of the game as reference. No parts of the original model or textures were used on my own model, but without the 3D reference for topology and textures, in the lack of a “blueprint”, I wouldn’t be able to make it look as identical.
Everything was modeled in Blender and textured in Photoshop, the Normal and AO maps were all baked in Blender, as well.
