Bilbo’s Pantry is inspired by the Bag End Pantry concept created by the amazing John Howe. That concept, along with the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, motivated me to create this scene. I wanted to get back to some stylized, hand painted textures and created this scene with that goal in mind. The pantry scene is low poly and utilizes diffuse and specular maps only. Tolkien’s works have been a big part of my life and I really enjoyed working on this piece. Hello everyone, This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
