Scene made in 3DS Max using 3 Particle Flows of 3 different meshes : Grass, broadleaf cattail and a flower. I did 2 different meshes for the grass, added a cut in the center to bend each grass in an opposite direction. This way it’s nearly impossible to see the faces from above. In the Particle View, I used a data operator (Event) with Matrix operands and Quaternion rotation in order to align particles to the normals of a sphere. Very useful to scatter objects on an uneven surface. It’s a cactus made in the shape of cats, so it’s a “cat”ctus! Get it?? Anyway, it was super fun bringing Miski’s (@miskiart) concept into the 3D sphere (pun intended) just becuase I always enjoy the challenge of using outlines and bright colors.
