The idea came after having explained to Linda Flowers the workflow for creating a complete character. Kiddo (the little girl) is her first model. In a month I taught her the basics of modeling, retopology and texturing. Synth (the elderly character) instead was born in parallel while explaining everything to her. The basic idea was to create non-speaking characters and to be able to characterize them with actions, lights and shots. The Unreal sequencer was the best tool to do this. Synth and Kiddo are awakeners and travel from world to awaken gods of musical genres in seemingly neutral worlds. In this case the awakened god is that of New Retro Wave music. All models were made through my classic workflow: 1. Zbrush for the highpoly 2. Maya Retopology + UV + Rigging 3. Substance Painter 4. Maya for animation 5. Unreal Engine 4 and Marmoset for final renderings. I hope you enjoy! This is a Game Ready model of a Gas Pump I made while watching a course from Emiel Sleegers, a 3d environment artist at Ubisoft. For this piece, I followed the Game asset pipeline for AAA Games. I started by analizing the references, created a blockout, then a High Poly object. Then I turned it into a low poly object, uv unwraped, exported to Marmoset 3, where I baked the high poly onto the low poly mesh by using the weighted normals technique. Then I set the render scene, and exported my baked textures to Substance Painter, where I painted the textures. FInally, I imported the textures from substance into Marmoset 3, and set my render scene with a Turntable render. I was able to learn and to improve knowledge I already had, with some new tools and techniques taugh by Emiel.
