This is all that remains of SS Rifle, one of the earliest surviving examples of a small pre-fabricated screw steamer in the British Isles. Rifle was purchased by the Locheil Estate in the 1860s for use on Loch Arkaig, ferrying goods, passengers and mail between the isolated dwellings around the loch. As well as being a practical vessel, Rifle was also used for pleasure, often carrying shooting parties. The boat was laid-up in the 1930s, and whilst being scrapped, sank and lay buried until removed by the army after becoming a hazard to wartime vessels working from the pier. Rifle was blasted away from the pier, losing the bow in the process. Despite being submerged for over half a century, it was raised in 1990. Although in a very fragile condition, Rifle’s propeller is a well-preserved example of an early design. The model was created as a part of ‘Scanning The Horizon’ 3D digitisation project. From the original 1987 hit Disneyland attraction Star Tours, the legendary StarSpeeder 3000! The StarSpeeder 3000 was a transport spacecraft used by the Star Tours travel agency. It had room to carry up to 40 passengers. It is unknown what company designed the craft, but they were produced sometime around the Battle of Hoth. The StarSpeeder 3000s were very similar to their predecessors, the StarSpeeder 1000s, both in shape and equipment. The craft was still boxy, with a downwardly angled front side, and still featured the usual five automated doors on both starboard and portside. With its five seating rows, the 3000 could still be boarded by no more than forty passengers at a time. A revamp of my Brisbane City Council Scania L94UB CNG [Volgren] intended for use in Transport Fever 2. TpF2 Workshop Item: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2594990377 Trivia: Once typical of Brisbane’s fleet is this Scania L94UB with Volgren CR224L bodywork. The standard Volgren body has been altered in appearance with a normal Scania front. The kite symbol reflects the bus’ green credentials being CNG powered. The G prefix denotes its allocation to the Garden City depot which feeds the busway. Sadly in 2020, the Scania L94UB fleet have been retired from service and replaced by the Volvo B8RLE buses. The Boeing 707 is a mid-sized, long-range, narrow-body, four-engine jet airliner built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes from 1958 to 1979. Its name is commonly pronounced as “seven oh seven”. Dimensions based on 1524 mm rails tracks (Russian standard), but final wide of car turned out half a meter narrower. So on standard station passengers probably will fell down between train and platform when boarding.
