My submission for the first Low Poly challenge of 2021! The combined lighthouse and windmill provides the Lighthouse Keeper with an excellent view of the surrounding reef, unfortunately it lighthouse no longer works as intended, meaning there have been a few… mishaps over the years. Though we are assured that it certainly wasn’t the Keeper’s intention! The crows nest provides a convenient way to cut across to get those fresh seagull eggs in the morning, and the diving platform provides a nice way to keep entertained through those hot summer days. There’s plenty to do and see - a fishing platform, covered to keep you protected from the midday sun, the odd wreck and legend has it there’s a treasure chest that’s been pulled on shore! Fan art of a house I saw in a SuperCell game “Boom Beach Frontlines”. I did high/mid/low poly models for this project. The high-poly (153,777 tris) for the bake of course, the mid-poly (38,995 tris) for sketchfab and the low poly (5.8 03 tris) as a game asset. The low-poly could be lower but I preferred to keep some details. I implemented the low poly in Unity, adding some animations and particles. One of my favorite enemy in Fallout 2, that didnt get much love in new Fallouts games(dont care about Chris Avellone note in Fallout Bible where he wanted them gone). Wanamingo is Alien like creature that live mostly underground, especially in Redding mines, that just like Deathclaws are actually results of FEV experiments. I keep it as close as possible to original model, so no sensor organs on head, needle like teeths and long tentacles. Nothing from that pig-like concept from early F3 graphics that look like… pig… As for model it self, It is rigged, but not animated, It was so long from I last time made mutant model that Im not even sure if I made IK rig properly.... But at least FK rig should be good. I could not use any fancy automatic rig as its not humanoid model… Model have one PBR Material in 4K, Default maroon color and more pale colors are included. Custom low poly character made from scratch for a fantasy scene. Influences taken from fantasy art from the 80’s-90s. Tried to keep the outfit rooted in reality while still being purely fantastical. High poly model sculpted in Marvelous Designer and Z-brush, texturing in Substance 3D painter. Rigging and anmimation were done in Maya using Advanced Skeleton, with a Motion Capture base taken using Plask. Tried to keep it as low poly as humanly possible while still making the details stand out. 1942 khaki battle dress blouse. This new style of jacket was developed for better manouverabillity with the increased introduction of motorised vehicles to the military. There are 2 hook and eye fastenings on the collar of the jacket with 5 metal buttons running down the right-hand side of the jacket. There are 2 pockets on either breast fastened with a plain button. On the top of either sleeve is a Cornwall badge in red, and directly brlow is a blue patch with a yellow dragon detailing. There is a slight spot of discoloration on the bottom of the breast pocket on the right- this almost looks like some sort of bleach stain. Inside the jacket is a label that reads “Battledress Blouses, Serge. Size no 6.” And the date stamp is June 1942. This item originates from the collection at Bodmin Keep Musuem, Cornwall, UK.
