I bought a setup for my microscope to use it as a photogrammetry tool for very small objects. I’m not there yet regarding accuracy, but I am pleased with this first results. The photogrammetry C1 I made by mirroring the half that was completely scanned, and I still miss a lot of details, but the reason for wanting to be able to also make photogrammetry models is that I want to be sure about the overall shape of my models. As you can see, even though most of it is the same, especially the transverse processes (the “wings”) have a slightly different orientation. I need to redo the scan to be sure if I need to remodel the modeled C1. I added another scan made with agisoft with the same set of photos. The scan is totally different somehow, not only in the details but also in the larger features. (and yes, I’m a perfectionist..) Edit: added yet another version with agisoft. Used 514 photos and mirrored one half. It’s getting better, even without image stacking. They chose this design because they were fast and cheap to build. However during the build InnerConn Technologies defaulted on a loan and they stopped all construction and were never completed. Over the years they have deteriorated and have been vandalized. This one has been photographed and turned into a 3D model to historically preserve its place in time. A few vulgar graffiti images have been digitally removed. DSLR + Drone photos were used to capture the image to create this model using photogrammetry.
