This city was created as a demo of my Medieval City Low Poly Pack, which can be purchased here: https://skfb.ly/6FKTU Every single asset used in this environment comes from that pack. It uses 4 different materials (five if we count the water, as it was separated for manual opacity control), each one with Albedo, Roughness, Normal, AO, Metallic and Opacity maps. Most textures (Environment, People and Market) are 1024x1024, and the one cotaining all the buildings is 2048x2048. Also, most of the details are contained on the normal map, resulting in a low poly count. Even if the scene reaches over 500k polys, keep in mind the size of the city. As for this scene, it has been something I’ve wanted to create for so many years, and I finally decided to make it with the pack. It even works as an UE4 level. Hello all! My name’s Fletcher. I’m a new character artist on the team. Here’s one of the polished armor sets I just finished. This is the final model and textures that will be used in-game. I’m using Sketchfab web-based 3D viewer to preview my models and the team is considering using this method to display progress for various assets in the future. This time I wanted to make something from an actual concept instead of a real object. I took a lot of inspiration from the modeling and texturing techniques of games like Fortnite, Overwatch and other stylized game. I’d say stylized is not my strength, but I wanted to try it! This project started as a small desire to model something medeval. I started on the catapalt, and from there wanted to animate it. However i thought it would be fun to have a looping animation. This then spawned the idea to create a character who was determined to siege this tower after after he formed a sort of rivalry with the owner of the tower. I ended up adding a lot of addition props to the scene that i hadnt originally accounted for. I also removed a character from the tower, who i put a bit of time and work into, but he just didnt fit into the scene well enough (i may do a seperate/individual upload of that character). This was my first animation (in several years) of my own character, modeled and rigged from scratch. Im not really an animator, but i thought it would be a fun challenge to add in a character and fully animate them. Modeling and animation was completed in Maya and Zbrush. Made with a remote dataset with many blurry and not sharp photos. Creation process was focused on reducing the blur and sharpness using deep learning models to improve quality on the source images. The same process was applied to the final resulting texture of the model to increase even more the sharpness of it. A model of a head of (possibly) Rameses II.
