This high detail figurine of a slender girl in a long, elegant dress, , was designed to print seamlessly on FDM printers at a scale of about 1 / 10th or larger, and on resin printers it will be easy to print at a noticeably smaller scale. The height of the figurine in 1/10 scale is 194.8 mm. To reduce the consumption of plastic for the supports, I printed the figurine in two parts: the lower part, 100 mm high. and the upper part, for which I lowered the figurine by 100 mm below table level. A figurine model of the Monumen Nasional (Monas), a large obelisk located in the center of Jakarta, Indonesia. Stylized lightly with aesthetics in mind, as such the dimensions/ratios don’t really conform to the actual monument. I uploaded this model to test how SketchFab renders something like this. The tricky part was figuring out how to get the silver foil on the top lable to be reflective. Got it to work :-) The cream looks like glossy plastic, but it’s a real-time render and gets the point across. I didn’t correctly UV map the underside because my renders were always on a table - so it didn’t matter.
