Escultura realizada con pastas de cera de abeja virgen que formó parte de la colección del Departamento de Anatomía y Embriología Humana de la Universidad de Granada. Dicha colección obedece a una necesidad didáctica, posee, por un lado, una serie de modelos clínicos que mostraban el aspecto que podía presentar una determinada patología a los alumnos de medicina de la época y, por otro lado, una colección de modelos anatómicos.
En esta ocasión, no encontramos ante una maqueta anatómica de un busto humano recostado sobre el lado derecho, sobre un lecho de tela blanca. En él destacan el gran realismo de los rasgos físicos ya que se realiza mediante la obtención de un molde post morten del individuo, con los ojos y la boca entreabiertos dejando incluso a la vista las piezas dentales.
