  Kirkjubøstólur: Lectern Panel P 3D Model 2023-11-06
The principal motif is a tonsured abbot standing dressed in a cowl; his halo indicates that he is a saint, standing with his abbot's staff in his left hand and a buring torch as his emblem in his right. The staff, baculus was carried as the symbol of the pastoral duty.
There has been some despute to the identification to the person on the bench end, some say he cannot be identified while others have suggested the abbot to be St. Brendan, as his emblem in german documents is a burning torch, and St. brendan can be related back to Kirkjubø.
In the rounded top panel sits St. Olav enthroned. with a halo, crown, his long handed axe in his right and and the earth/orb in his left.
The small escutcheon above where the olique desk top would have been is the faroes coat of arms of the ram.
In the rounded upper top panel we find Erik of Pomerania's Nordic Coat of Arms, the three crowns.

Dimension: 138 x 44 x 7 cm.

Created by Petur Hansen, using Artec Eva scanner and Artec Studio 16 3d model

3D scan of a dodo skeleton. This specimen probably was put together from the remains of several birds. There is no complete dodo skeleton left, nevertheless the NHM Vienna owns one of the most complete skeletons. Dodos lived exclusively on the islands of Mauritius and Reunion. The last dodo probably went extinct about 1690. The dodo is Number 80 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 31 of the NHM Vienna. Specimen: Raphus cucullatus (Linnaeus, 1758) Inventory number: NHMW-Zoo-VS 1.471 Collection: Natural History Museum Vienna, 1st Zoological Dept., Bird Coll. 3D scan of a trumpeter swan (Cygnus buccinator), which is the largest native water bird in Northern America and has been widespread there. These birds are around 1.5 meters long, with a wingspan of more than 2 meters. Trumpeter swans got their vernacular name due to their trumpet-like calls. This also reflects the scientific species name derived from “buccinare” – to trumpet. The exhibited specimen originates from the Tiergarten Nürnberg and came to the NHM Vienna in 1978. This trumpeter swan can be found in Hall 30 of the Natural History Museum Vienna. Specimen: Cygnus buccinator Richardson, 1832 Inventory number: NHMW-Zoo1-VS 75374 Collection: Natural History Museum Vienna, 1st Zoological Dept., Bird Coll.
