I've been wanting to create a candy-themed piece for a while, so this was a whole lot of fun to make! Wanted to go for a real cartoonish, completely handpainted look, so this is my first time using just a diffuse map for piece. Created in 4 weeks as an assessment piece using Maya, Photoshop and 3D Coat. Just plug the textures on emission, or diffuse shader. No need for ambient occlusion. And voilà! They are ready!
They have an even more natural painting feeling than before, and they are close to real anime trees more than ever 😁😁
