I've been wanting to create a candy-themed piece for a while, so this was a whole lot of fun to make! Wanted to go for a real cartoonish, completely handpainted look, so this is my first time using just a diffuse map for piece. Created in 4 weeks as an assessment piece using Maya, Photoshop and 3D Coat. Project “Gipsy Danger” from the famous movie and anime franchise was one of my final year projects in uni, where we were told to select any Mecha character to our liking and then try to recreate as closest possible to the actual reference. The whole model was created from scratch from the model itself to the texture.
