I had the privilege to work with the super chill and talented teammate, Gabriel Eekenulv, Skyblivion’s Concept Art Lead. Together we produced this grand and regal set of armor. As a historical arms and armor enthusiast, I often time find it difficult to work with many fantasy concept arts. Most designs sacrifice basic understanding and practicality for “cool” aesthetics which make no sense. When I came across Eekenulv’s armor designs, however, I was in awe. His designs are grand, elegant, and “cool”, yet they maintain insights and functionality of armors, a perfect balance between “Realism” and “Suspension of Disbelieve”. This was one of the most fun project I’ve produced in collaboration with others. Not to mention my Twitch subscribers who took part in submitting poleaxe designs, which eventually developed into the one you see. Another scan of a rock I found on the beach in Thassos, Greece. At first I tought it was either a meteorite or a volcanic rock, as it is very dense, and slightly magnetic. Turns out it’s just a piece of slug, from a nearby medieval copper mine. Still a beautiful specimen. What you see here is just for fun. I have posted another model, with proper realistic maps. Can be used as a prop, although it is fairly high poly. Files are not packed into zip file, due to size limitation for free users.
