Kharkovchanka , code name: Manufacture 404S, is a model of Antarctic off-road vehicle. Based on the AT-T tractor platform (itself based on the T-54 tank). In December 1959 two of them (“21” and “23”) were delivered to Antarctica and reached the South Pole. The massive off-road snow vehicle had a total of a small galley, toilet, oven, and eight beds. Hello !
This low-poly, animated asset includes an old warehouse and a crane. Its a machine developed by the german manufacturer Sennebogen,
the 3D model itself is a simplified version of the Sennebogen HD 655 E.
The animation starts with the first hit, then the crane slowly drives backwards, adjusts a new position for the wrecking ball and swings for the second hit on the warehouse.
All parts of the animation sequence are based on real life physics behaviour I made via a simulation in Blender software. The chain tracks move along together with the crane and the mechanical pistons are also animated.
