I was aiming for a Warcraft look (as in Frozen Throne, not necessarily WoW) with limited resolution hand painted textures.
Glow FX were originally done as billboard planes, flickering was achieved by randomly rescaling them; the little bat and moving candle flames were animated by shifting UV - as these techniques are currently unavailable on Sketchfab I edited them out and left a static model with no billboard tracking. I created it to improve my hard surface modeling and texturing skills. The model is divided into 6 parts:
M4A1 Assault Rifle,
Reflex sight,
Suppressor,
Vertical grip,
Iron sight,
Magazine.
Each part has separate texture set so every attachment can be used in other weapons (future assets).
The low and high poly meshes were modeled and unwrapped in Blender and then baked and textured in Substance Painter.
