Another 1 and a half week project of a medieval heavy crossbow. Inspired after a portfolio critique and been wanting to create a medieval/fantasy inspired piece for some time now.
Modelling done in Maya with certain detailed parts such as the wood carvings and stock ornaments done with the help of Zbrush and photoshop. Textured with substance painter and rendering done on Unreal engine 5.
This might be my last project in a while since I have an actual full time job that I have to attend to, however I will be back with more projects in the future and will keep on improving my skills as required. An attempt at creating a small environment for the Dagger of Time from the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy.
My influences were kinda all over the place. The altar and sand pile were ideas inspired by the Sands of Time Remake. The dagger combines elements from the Edge of Time from Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey with elements from the original Sands of Time design. And then I threw a couple of my own ideas in to create this weird amalgamation that I hope Prince of Persia fans will at least find serviceable, lol.
