First time trying handpainting, incredibly glad to be able to put that skill in my toolbox while continuing to develop it.
It was also a lot of fun to try and push a sense of space and diorama with airlines flowing around the plane.

This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing. After a year and half, I finally textured this…on a request of a sketchfab member.
My original intention was just to texture it but I realized the topology in certain areas were just abysmal.
I fixed the topology, added new details, and removed uncessary details. At the end, I still haven’t made a exact of the artwork but I got at lot right at 12k less tris than my previous one.
