A personal project that I’ve been doing in my spare time for about a year. I have learned many new things during this time, for example, how to use Unreal Engine 5 and Substance Designer. Also I repeated the basics of 3D pipeline I learned at XYZ School.
Most importantly, I managed to convey the mood with which the people of the post-Soviet space are picking berries. An old but reliable grandfather’s scooter, a couple of buckets and a good tovarisch nearby – everything you need for a “quiet hunt”.
For the terrain I used the “Simple grass chunks” by 3dhdscan and the “Grassy Ground” texture by Game Textures.

I made this for the Artstation Untamed Challenge!
I chose not to include a stand for this one and instead just kept it alone. I also decided not to pose the back legs up in the air because it looked very odd without some spiderweb.
The final model ended up with 38,065 faces and 71,689 triangles.
I used two 4K maps, One for the upper body and the Pipe and the other one for the spider legs and butt.

This is a quick creature project that I made a few years back. The concept sculpt was created in a little under six hours. Once I had a good blocked out concept, I refined the detail sculpt, retopologized the mesh Uv’d and textured it.
The surfacing for this guy was originally done with Vray in mind, but with a little clean up, it was pretty easy to transfer over to Sketchfab’s PBR material. I had to down res the maps significantly to get them to load however, and the Emission of the material seems to blur out the surface quite a bit.
The colors for this guy were inspired by a close cousin of the Seahorse known as the “Weedy Sea Dragon ” while the overall patternings and designs are very geomtric in nature 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 23558 polygons.
