In an effort to fully absorb and capture the Gearbox look with the Borderlands series and enrich my character portfolio, I chose to model out an unused NPC concept from the Borderlands 3 art book by Sergi Brosa. Very minimal guidance was given to me from Gearbox besides what limitations their current engines may be able to support and I pulled apart various character work to see how optimization could benefit a character.
I optimized this character to have customizable character design to alter symmetry options and enable re-use of character elements for other NPC characters. Even if gun look really nice, and as far as I know and read, its shoot well, it wasnt really a sucess and lots of people have weird hatred toward it due to being pricy and only semi-auto…
But in games and animations this gun look really nice, and we can set it to full auto without any problem so its nice addition to any project that need some fresh big caliber gun :]
