The project of the shipyard was an incredible task: to create an interactive project that displays the work of all the workshops and mechanisms of the factory and at the same time it had to be mobile.
Our team has found a unique solution that has no analogues in the world: a scalable object with all of its processes was visualized by us and also animated and filled with necessary information by creating 3D-models and using the application of augmented reality.
This project allows not only to explore the internal territory in daytime or night enviroment, but also to study in detail all of the processes from within, from cutting metal plates to the production of finished vessels and allows to study the detailed information about all of the processes as well.
The project was created by us based on the project documentation for demonstration the model of the shipyard to customers in different countries. Wanted to do something light hearted, wanted to mess around with texture painting, and I wanted to play with hard-surface modelling some more. I collect lego a little bit, and this was one of my more recent additions, so I thought I might as well try to recreate it. I’m really pleased with the results overall. Modelling the hair was the most difficult part, and I think that’s where the model is most lacking. Otherwise I think it turned out alright.
