In search for inspiration I went down to my basement (well, it’s COVID time, I don’t have too much options :D) and well, I found one - a 1870s Singer sewing machine. It's broken, almost every elements in it refuses to work properly and it got eaten by corrosion, but it's still beautiful and become the main reference for this project, although ornaments I've designed looks as later, kinda art deco style. Manufactured by absolutely fictional Willoughsby Manufacturing Comapny. This beautiful font used in Willoughsby Manufacturing Company logo is Grenadier NF by Nick Curtis. This is a vintage sewing machine from 1960s standing at my living room. My grandma sewed clothes on it, and it is still working!
I like the complexicity of its materials and great design of shapes that reminds of old 60s cars.
Full scene contains 10.5k triangles and the machine has two texture sets of 4k and 2k PBR maps. As game asset it can be more optimised, but I wanted to give it more detailed look and to practice on complex surfaces, like grainy paint.
