Modeled and textured for my MFA thesis, I researched artifacts at the American Civil War Museum in Richmond Virginia, and digitally restored these artifacts to what they might have looked like when they were first created. This pipe was heavily damaged and missing large chunks in the bowl. Restoring these missing pieces, and reducing the amount of wear on the pipe brought back more color and smoother features. Game/VR/AR-ready low-poly model of a precast dirty concrete pipe with 4K PBR-textures that is built to real-world scale (metric system).
Precast concrete elements are used extensively in the construction business and models such as this one are useful when designing urban areas, especially when creating ruined settings.
The model and PBR-textures are prepared for use with Unity and Unreal Engine, but can easily be adapted to other game engines, or for other uses. The model was created using Blender and Substance Painter.
The zip-file “Dirty concrete pipe.zip” contains all the textures as png-files (8 bits), as well as the model in the following formats:

One month assignment. The goal was to make a next-gen character, ready to be implemented into a game. I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses.
