This character model was part of a game project for my final course this spring. This character was the main antagonist in our game “Jeniah", and he was the final boss of the game that the player had to fight against and defeat. Our game project was very inspired by Souls-games like Dark Souls and a little bit of Bloodborne, and so I did my best to try and get the rigth “feeling" for the characters. I had four days to come up with the concept, model from scratch, and texture this character and put it in the game. * Base body modeled in Zbrush. Armour and retopologization in Maya. It was quite a challenge due to its particular design as well as the subtle hue shift in the concept. It was super interestingand I learned quite a lot from it! I tried my best to make it fit in some kind of Handpainted Diablo-like game! Maybe it could be a dungeon boss !?!

The harquebusier was the most common form of cavalry found throughout Western Europe during the early to mid-17th century. Early harquebusiers were characterised by the use of a type of carbine called a “harquebus”. In England, harquebusier was the technical name for this type of cavalry, though in everyday usage they were usually simply called ‘cavalry’ or ‘horse’. In Germany they were often termed Ringerpferd, or sometimes Reiter, in Sweden they were called lätta ryttare.
The armour comprises a Pot Helmet with two-piece skull joined by a low-comb, neck-guard (Lobster tail) of simulated lames and pointed peak or visor with three-bar guard hinged at each side to allow it to be raised when not needed. At each side are the cheek pieces for protection, hinged by means of leather strips.
