This is a scan of the Mobius model of Frazetta’s iconic painting, the Death Dealer. The majority of this model is scanned, however some of the smaller parts, like the shield, the sword, chain, bridle and reins were recreated in Solidworks, as they were too small to scan properly. The model is actually comprised of a few separate parts for easy 3D printing. She lost everything but the lights were always on, hoping that someone would spot them on the distance.” Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment. For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories. While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago. The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons. At Hi-Rez, we decided to give ol’ Poseidon a make-over. It was time– as he was one of the first Gods of the original release of SMITE. I was very fortunate to get to work on this skin. He was passed around to other artists in the pipeline to make sure he fit to the Old version’s rig. My main job was to retopologize, texture and get his new body mesh into Unreal 3. I was, however, able to clean up the sculpt and finalize it for texture generation. Base-meshed in Max, Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter 2 and Photoshop. It was the largest airborne operation conducted by the Allies until 1944. The paradrop in the occupied Netherlands meant to bypass German fortifications on the Siegfried Line. This manoeuvre would have allowed the occupation of the Ruhr industrial area, which might have ended the Second World War as early as 1944. Unfortunately, the Allied operation resulted in a complete failure. The key bridge at Arnhem was not captured. The Germans mounted fierce resistance and destroyed the 1st Airborne Division of the British Army; the survivors were rescued by Polish paratroopers from the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade commanded by General Stanisław Sosabowski. And it was General Sosabowski who was condemned for the operation’s failure.
