The idea came after having explained to Linda Flowers the workflow for creating a complete character. Kiddo (the little girl) is her first model. In a month I taught her the basics of modeling, retopology and texturing. Synth (the elderly character) instead was born in parallel while explaining everything to her. The basic idea was to create non-speaking characters and to be able to characterize them with actions, lights and shots. The Unreal sequencer was the best tool to do this. Synth and Kiddo are awakeners and travel from world to awaken gods of musical genres in seemingly neutral worlds. In this case the awakened god is that of New Retro Wave music. All models were made through my classic workflow: 1. Zbrush for the highpoly 2. Maya Retopology + UV + Rigging 3. Substance Painter 4. Maya for animation 5. Unreal Engine 4 and Marmoset for final renderings. I hope you enjoy! 1937 Cadillac Hartmann V16\nThe bare chassis was ordered from Detroit through the Edelweiss Garage – being the local Cadillac dealer in Morges, beside Lausanne, Switzerland – by Philippe Barraud, son of William Barraud and nephew of William’s brother, Maurice, both wealthy Swiss industrialist who had “built” their fortune in red bricks and roofing tiles.\nPhilippe had a local Swiss coachbuilder, Willy Hartmann of Lausanne, create and build for him a custom 2-pass roadster on the V16 chassis. He used the car intermittently between 1937 and the early 60s. Russian inspired army truck, merging concepts of the famous ZIL-130 and the never-released ZIL-Э133ВЯТ. Made in Blender, sculpted in ZBrush, UVed in Rizom and textured in Substance Painter. Also, a huge shout out to PureRef that doesn’t get enough credit. Made the cab and interior using high-low baking workflow on top of weighted normals to allow for baking a sculpted HD mesh with dents and scuffs. The rest of the truck is using weighted normals only. Very good quality interior, making it suitable for 1st person camera. Game ready although the policount may not be the best for a background enviroment prop (unless you’re using Nanite). The .blend file is included with the truck in its neutral possition, the tires undeformed and high resolution .tga textures.
