They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago. At Hi-Rez, we decided to give ol’ Poseidon a make-over. It was time– as he was one of the first Gods of the original release of SMITE. I was very fortunate to get to work on this skin. He was passed around to other artists in the pipeline to make sure he fit to the Old version’s rig. My main job was to retopologize, texture and get his new body mesh into Unreal 3. I was, however, able to clean up the sculpt and finalize it for texture generation. Base-meshed in Max, Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter 2 and Photoshop. It’s a cactus made in the shape of cats, so it’s a “cat”ctus! Get it?? Anyway, it was super fun bringing Miski’s (@miskiart) concept into the 3D sphere (pun intended) just becuase I always enjoy the challenge of using outlines and bright colors. This piece, however, is a bit out of my usual format since the textures are just base colors with little to no hand-painterly work. It was still fun being able to try and translate such a flat image to 3D! One of my favorite enemy in Fallout 2, that didnt get much love in new Fallouts games(dont care about Chris Avellone note in Fallout Bible where he wanted them gone). Wanamingo is Alien like creature that live mostly underground, especially in Redding mines, that just like Deathclaws are actually results of FEV experiments. I keep it as close as possible to original model, so no sensor organs on head, needle like teeths and long tentacles. Nothing from that pig-like concept from early F3 graphics that look like… pig… As for model it self, It is rigged, but not animated, It was so long from I last time made mutant model that Im not even sure if I made IK rig properly.... But at least FK rig should be good. I could not use any fancy automatic rig as its not humanoid model… Model have one PBR Material in 4K, Default maroon color and more pale colors are included. A faraam armour knight I created for my Masters degree final year project. Based on the concepts and artwork of the Faraam Armour from Dark souls 2 & 3. The character is around 70k polys, with about 30k of that being hair cards. Sculpted in Zbrush and retopped in 3ds Max, textured in Substance Painter and Designer. Hair cards were created using Maya Xgen. The character is utlising 6 * 2k texture sets for the armour and weapons, as well as 1* 512 for the arrows and 1 * 1024 for the underpelt. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 158823 polygons.
