Wanted to do something cute for a change. First thing that came to my mind was a fox selling sugar, an old inside joke with my little brothers that has spread in my family and extended family. It is also neatly connected with a local saying (unreliable translation) “Sour, said the fox about the rowan berry”. A quick internet search told me that this saying seems to be a localized reference to the “The Fox and the Grapes” fable. So I added some rowan berries and leaves. Fox sculpted in Zbrush, retopo in Blender and texturing in substance painter. Hello everyone, This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
