Finally my currently biggest project is done after 5 months later smiling_face. That was a really great experience for me and personally that was a great success for this year. Before starting this project I had no idea about creating realistic game ready charecter, realistic scultping, hair creating etc but with this project I learned lots of new things about these ones. Learning workflow was the most important thing in this project for me because I had a lot of empty blocks in my mind about game ready character modelling. Except of that definitely creating hair was the hardest part for me I did lots of hair card try but unfortunately I didn’t like not of them so I used ready hair card from marketplace but I am really happy with the final version. At a strip mall across town is this concrete Statue of Liberty. I’ve driven by it for years. I decided to do a quick and dirty model of it. By the time I got to the strip mall, the sun was close to setting and I had to hurry. As you can see, South Dakota seasons are hard on decorative concrete sculptures like this one. The agragate under the surface of the concrete is starting to show in places where the concrete has worn away. The protective paint is patchy giving moisture more places to penetrate and wear down the concrete. This model is just the latest generation cast from a prototype I first saw in the 1980s when the Statue of Liberty’s centennial was approaching. Liberty fever was on the rise and someone cashed in by creating this stylized replica. It has been recreated in aluminum, fiberglass and concrete. It can be found in numerous statuary and garden centers. The wall decoration was reconstructed starting from fragments of painted plaster found in Bishopsgate ca.1850, now at the British Museum. The lost parts of the walls were recreated using examples from Verulamium (St Albans) and Colchester. The mosaic selected for this reconstruction was found in Silchester. The krater (vase used to mix wine) at its centre shares the Bacchic theme of the wall paintings, which depict satyrs holding grapes and a thyrsus. All the objects in the room are based on Roman originals. The table in this reconstruction was found in Herculaneum, where it was carbonised during the eruption of Mt. Based on Maeve Broadbin’s Concept! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6yZox Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! Founded in 1350 C.E., Ayutthaya was the Siamese capital of Thailand until the 18th century. Ayutthaya developed into a booming city starting in 1378 C.E., surpassing the old capital of Sukhothai. King Ramathibodi declared Ayutthaya the new capital and it was named after a magical kingdom from the Ramakien, an epic story about Thailand. The city was attacked and burned to the ground in 1767 C.E. by the Burmese army. The only remaining buildings in Ayutthaya are of stone, as the wood structure burned to the ground in 1767 C.E. After the destruction of Ayutthaya, the capital was moved to Bangkok and there was an effort to recreate the urban template and architecture of Ayutthaya.
