Yuya and Thuya were the father and mother of Queen Tiye, the great royal wife of Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty. The tomb was discovered virtually intact in 1905 by James Quibell and Theodore M. Davis.
Created from 90 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T7i) using Metashape 1.6.1 and Blender 3D 2.8. Blender was used to fix some minor aspects of the geometry and texturing caused by the lighting conditions in the museum. The jars are held by a system similar to that of cantareras, that is, resting on the holes in the wooden structure of the cart itself. There are extensive references to its use already in medieval times in the plates of the Civitates Orbis Terrarum by Braun and Hogenberg, dated 1576, as well as in the documentary photography of early 20th century photographers.
