Many people are familiar with the art installationin in the Helix Park, adjacent to the Falkirk Wheel - the large Kelpies - at 30 metres high, they are the world's largest equine sculptures, created by Andy Scott in 2013. What is less well known is that a mini version of these iconic sculptures, the pre production “maquettes", some 10 feet high are currently in residence in Ardrishaig at the western end of the Crinnan Canal at the Ardrishaig waterway's centre. They have been sited there at since 2019 having cantered down from their earlier site in Edinburgh. …the dramatic collapse and then clearance of an historic bridge in Worcestershire was the end to its history. But a UAV Photogrammetric survey preserved the detail befor a new bridge was built. The work was commissioned by Worcestershire County Council and the resulting data used by the structuaral engineers and contractors.
