The RotJ version’s biggest difference is the different barrel grip design and no techy pieces attached to the left side. ANH also has a lot of variation, partly because those techy pieces fell off some of the props, partly because they just used mismatched parts in general. Aside from being slightly simplified (eg. I have a smooth wire instead of 2 curly wires to save on polycount, there is no trigger to avoid clipping—although many screen-used ones in ANH also have no trigger!), I also made a conscious change to add back in the one missing grip from the left side of the barrel in ANH where there was a bayonet attachment and a row of holes instead. I took some liberties when it came to the rune-like details on the pommel itself, but tried to remain as close the the original(s) as possible. The sword was done via classic hard surface modelling, only said details on the pommels were sculpted and then baked onto the normal map. I gave the blade textures a good amount of wear, and went overall for a less clean “game-y” look. The entire project was done in Blender and Substance Painter. The Potocki Palace in Lviv was built in the 1880s as an urban seat of Alfred Józef Potocki, former Minister-President of Austria. On 22 November 1919, American pilot Edward Graves dropped into the palace as part of an air show over the centre of Lviv on the 1st anniversary of the city’s liberation from the Ukrainians. The plane crash and the explosion of its fuel tanks caused a fire on the upper floors and the roof of the palace. The repair and restoration of the building lasted until 1931. From 1945 to 1972 the palace was used by the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of Combustible Minerals of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The palace itself was adapted for holding wedding ceremonies in 1972 and subsequently underwent restoration. In the 2000s, the Potocki Palace was handed over to the Lviv Art Gallery.
