![Crabs were important motifs in Cotzumalhuapa art. The flat upper surface of Palo Verde Monument 4 suggests that this sculpture may have functioned as a seat or altar. The claws and legs of a crab are combined with the head of a mythical reptile. Palo Verde was an important center in the Cotzumalhuapa hinterlands and boasts a magnificent set of monumental sculptures. Currently in the El Baúl Museum.
El cangrejo fue un motivo importante en el arte de Cotzumalguapa. La superficie plana del monumento 4 de Palo Verde sugiere que esta escultura pudo servir como un asiento o altar.
