Vincent Van Gogh, based on a self-portrait, and textured using his painting technique. This is my first ‘organic’ ever so it was a steep learning curve, currently I’ve been using Blender for 4 months and it’s my first time with 3D software. I’ve purposefully made one ear uneven as Vincent had cut off his ear with a razor blade towards the end of his life. I found a doctor’s note which details how his ear looked so it’s as accurate as I can get it. It’s slightly surreal to experience this portrait in 3D and get a real life-like sense of the man beyond just a single pose.
