Tournament Helmet belonged to Philip II of Spain in 1545-1546. The model has been generated from a 3D scan of the real Helmet by using 100 photos. The engravings on the upper part of the helmet have the same pattern of the ones shown on Philip's armor in the famous painting, the helmet might have been part of that armor set. (Check the picture below) The mesh shown here is the lowpoly version with baked Normal and Roughness maps from the highpoly one. The costume was made for a theatrical performance «Indecent is decent» (Ivanovo State Museum of Local History named after D.G. Burylin, October 30, 2019 – March 1, 2020). The 3D reconstruction was made by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors. Anthroscan, Clo3D, SubstancePainter and Unreal Engine 4 software programs were used.
