Hello and thank you for viewing my Sketchfab models of various parts of the Eleanor Mustang. Modelled in Maya and rendered in V-Ray, you can find more examples of my work over on Behance. As much as I love the renders I have produced for this project, ultimately they donβt show the scope of modelling work that I put into this project; because of that, I have chose to show about 90% of it in sections, so that you can have a thorough look at the work gone into it.
This model means a lot to me as I originally made it in 2015, with the interior followed up in 2016. Now in 2023, I have decided to remodel the entire car, along with a lot more details that it didnβt have in the first version.

The Soviet RG-42 (Π ΡΡΠ½Π°Ρ ΠΡΠ°Π½Π°ΡΠ° ΠΎΠ±ΡΠ°Π·ΡΠ° 42 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° > Ruchnaya Granata obraztsa 42 goda, “Hand Grenade pattern of [19]42 year”) was a fragmentation grenade designed by S.G. Korshunov.[1]
It was originally introduced during World War II from 1942 onwards as an emergency measure to replace the complex RGD-33 grenade. It continued in use with the USSR and its Warsaw Pact allies in the post-war period until replaced in 1954 by the RGD-5 grenade. Stockpiles were held for emergency or reserve issue, military aid, or foreign sales. They were eventually destroyed in the 1980s due to the TNT filling degrading and becoming unsafe.
Unlike the RGD-33, the RG-42’s components were simple to produce and assemble. Only the fuze required specialized manufacture and the parts could be easily assembled by hand by cottage labor. M24 Stick Grenade 3D Model.

Originally a much simpler asset, I began creating this model in Blender as a simple exercise before deciding to take the project further by improving the geometry, texturing and overall design of the asset. This included adding barbwire which initially was easy to make, but became extremely tedious when implementing changes and so I created a custom generator tool to improve iteration time and with considerably more accuracy. This was then baked in Marmoset and later textured in Substance Painter, using two materials with 4K texture sheet (using overlapping UVs to maximise quality) and a non-destructive workflow for fast iteration, then finally rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3. Scene made in 3DS Max using 3 Particle Flows of 3 different meshes : Grass, broadleaf cattail and a flower.
I did 2 different meshes for the grass, added a cut in the center to bend each grass in an opposite direction. This way it’s nearly impossible to see the faces from above.
In the Particle View, I used a data operator (Event) with Matrix operands and Quaternion rotation in order to align particles to the normals of a sphere. Very useful to scatter objects on an uneven surface.
