It's been about 4 months this I did any personal work. When Covid-19 hit and it felt like a bit of a stay-cation, so I put down the mouse for a while to focus on my physical and mental health. But after some much needed rest, I'm back and have a new fire for creating 3D art. For this piece, I wanted to try something different with my style and the way I used the tools to create it. I discovered Ellie's (@ellievsbear on twitter) work and her charming and wholesome art style would lend perfect to what I wanted to try and do. I made this model as a request from a person for 3d printing. I was given full freedom on making style for this model. The design was made like this to be more suitable for printing. I like this model, I think it looks super cute, and colors make it look like a candy. It’s a high-poly model which consists out of 17K triangles, cause I wanted to be as smooth as possible. I decided to do handpainted textures to get more cute and simple look.

Another 3D model of a Pokemon for my older brother, and this will be the last one I do for the rest of the year because I want to do other projects that are more in line with my interests. However, I’ll continue to dedicate to him every year at least one 3D model of something from his favorite franchise.
As with Piplup, Pikachu’s textures were made from scratch in GIMP, but this time the character is a full 3D figure, unsegmented, so this is one of my first more or less advanced Rigging works along the way that I had done previously.
This project was also a revelation for me, as it made me think that the style of my next 3D models would have a more cartoon or anime style, even though that is not reflected here.
