The Skuldelev ships are a group of five well preserved 11th century ships from the Viking period, found in the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark near the town of Skuldelev. Skuldelev 1 was a large ocean going ship, a trading vessel probably known as a Knarr. From analyzing the wood of the ship archaeologists were able to determine the ship had been built on the west coast of Norway around the 1030’s CE, and so ended it’s life far from where it was built. Hello everyone, I made this model of a cute Unicorn Claw Machine following a design by the artist Julie Perez for the medieval back-and-forth challenge on Artstation.
The polycount for the full model and the 4 little wooden horse is 47972. I don’t know how you’d manage to spawn so many little unicorn wooden toys in a game, so the full polycount is way higher on my take. I bet you could just use particles or an equivalent to avoid the extra triangles.
I also did that demonstration animation, to show how eveything could work but of course in a game that’d be done with programming not actual bones, haha.
