Wood barrier surronded the Hoko so it was very hard to take good shots.

This is my diorama for the 3D1 final assignment in Howest Digital Arts & Entertainment. The goal was to create a low poly scene based on a selected storyline using Maya and Photoshop.
At the end of an overgrown road in the English countryside lives grandma in her lovely stone cottage. She spends a lot of her time outside, tending to her flowers in the old greenhouse, doing daily chores and enjoying tea time while telling stories to her beloved animals. The stylized plane model was part of an assignment of the Game Art course at DAE. I had a lot of fun creating the plane so I decided to make a short animation aswell!

Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment.
For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories.
While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago.
Textured in Photoshop and modelled in 3ds MAX.
