I think the long shutter speed blew out the ends of the feathers. Well, that and they’re translucent.... Feathers are tough. 119 images processed with Photoscan. Side note: Photoscan is 5-10 times slower than Visual SfM (really), but damn, it’s texturing is excellent. I wish I could tweak the mesh reconstruction settings, though. I also wanted to do skin weights and import assets into a game, since its fun to see models “alive”, so I added these to my XCOM 2 mod. This is a tweaked version from my recent XCOM 2 mod update, as the materials in the game require certain deviations from the basic PBR workflow 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 16763 polygons.
