Los orfebres incas produjeron estatuillas de seres humanos y camélidos mediante técnicas de martillado o fundido, estas se empleaban en rituales de ofrenda vinculados a los altos representantes del Imperio inca (1450-1532). Al ocurrir la conquista española en el siglo XVI, estas fueron fundidas junto con otras tantas riquezas orfebres. Algunos excavaciones arqueológicas y hallazgos fortuitos han expuesto la variedad de esta producción de oro, plata o cobre, que respeta cánones estilísticos estandarizados. Algunas estatuillas halladas en contexto aún conservaban su vestimenta en miniatura, adornos en fibras animales, vegetales y plumas (Núñez-Regueiro et al., 2017). I wanted to make a new hellenic thing, but then realised that this may be original Roman design - at least I found no evidence of greek origins of the design. It’s still doric though!
This model is based on the sarcophagus of Lucius Cornelius Scipio Barbatus (clearly a roman guy), and here is the fun fact - the inscription on the tablet was once redone, most likely by one of the relatives of Scipio.
So I changed the text a bit with some lines from the movie “Blood & Concrete: A Love Story” - since Romans really loved concrete, which they called opus caementicium 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 34609 polygons.
