Built using old parts and technology common to OBA vessels, but lovingly cared for and maintained by veteran spacers. Don't count this old hulk out so soon. Contains a centrifugal habitat ring, zero-gee industrial zones, a high-output nuclear reactor, and a spacecraft hangar. I started this as a fun little side project that I would work on when taking a break from my primary piece. For this project I wanted to try something new and different. My goal was to get more comfortable making strange shapes in Zbrush and also to become better at hand painting textures. Primarily painting in the shadow, lighting, reflections/ highlights and bounce lighting into the diffuse map. It can also carry up to six nuclear torpedoes to combat enemy installations, one of which is shown here just prior to main engine ignition. For defenses, it has thick hull plating typical to the OBA faction, partially shielded thermal management systems, and an enhanced inverse gravitic field generator which can be found under the starboard wing. This craft supports a standard crew of three, featuring a habitat section for extended mission endurance.
