As always I had a lot of fun making this project but this one seemed to take awhile to get a well structured lion head. Luckily I have a lot of great friends to help critique my work during the process and it always leads to something much stronger than I begin with, otherwise this lion may still be looking like an angry bullfrog.
My friends also suggested I have a bit of a fixation on things with gems in their head. So far, they aren’t wrong, but it’s mostly because I love painting in the bright colored lights. smiling_face

This is a personal project. I was given permission from Steve Prescott, an Illustrator and Concept Artist, to use one of his character concepts for this 3D project. This is a character out of the digital card game called Soul Spark. It’s been a wonderful journey and I’m sincerely pleased as to how it turned out in the end.
