A low poly model of the stormtrooper blaster, mostly based on A New Hope rather than Battlefront’s RotJ version, textured in Substance Painter. Not detailed enough for a 1st person view, but great for full body distance! I’d price it lower but sketchfab’s minimum is $3.99- I’ll bundle it into my upcoming stormtrooper if you want both.
The RotJ version’s biggest difference is the different barrel grip design and no techy pieces attached to the left side. ANH also has a lot of variation, partly because those techy pieces fell off some of the props, partly because they just used mismatched parts in general.
Aside from being slightly simplified (eg. I have a smooth wire instead of 2 curly wires to save on polycount, there is no trigger to avoid clipping—although many screen-used ones in ANH also have no trigger!), I also made a conscious change to add back in the one missing grip from the left side of the barrel in ANH where there was a bayonet attachment and a row of holes instead. Hello and thank you for viewing my Sketchfab models of various parts of the Eleanor Mustang. Modelled in Maya and rendered in V-Ray, you can find more examples of my work over on Behance. As much as I love the renders I have produced for this project, ultimately they don’t show the scope of modelling work that I put into this project; because of that, I have chose to show about 90% of it in sections, so that you can have a thorough look at the work gone into it.
This model means a lot to me as I originally made it in 2015, with the interior followed up in 2016. Now in 2023, I have decided to remodel the entire car, along with a lot more details that it didn’t have in the first version.
